DATA ADVISORY
Prima Signa acts for companies licensing their operational data to AI developers.
THE MARKET
AI developers are acquiring the operational records of established companies to train and evaluate their models: email, messaging, CRM, ERP, tickets, code and engineering files. Few companies know what these records are worth, and they are priced unlike any conventional data sale. A company that approaches a single buyer directly sets its price against that buyer’s needs, not the market’s.
THE ROLE
Prima Signa acts for the company, in the same role a sell-side advisor plays in an acquisition. It takes a mandate to license the company’s data, runs the process, and is paid a percentage of the transaction.
WHAT PRIMA SIGNA DOES
Valuation. Engineers who build and train AI models assess what the records are worth to buyers, and what they are not.
Preparation. Data is packaged to buyer specification. De-identification goes to providers Prima Signa has vetted.
Process. Competitive, across labs and intermediaries, never a single buyer.
Terms. Scope, exclusivity, term and release approval, negotiated on the company’s behalf.
Control. The company keeps ownership and approves every release.
FEE
A percentage of transaction value, payable on completion. Nothing is payable before then.
CRITERIA
Established companies with 50 or more staff, at least 3 years of records, and 5 or more connected systems. Any sector. Operating, restructuring or closed, provided the company or its successor holds the rights to its records.
DISCRETION
Mandates are confidential. A company’s identity is not disclosed to any buyer without its consent.
